Ministry Update

In the latter part of 2011, we partnered with Christian Worldview Outreach (CWVO), and a local pastor (who is a native of India), to send some of our articles to be translated and published in an Indian Christian newspaper. The first article, Dinosaurs: Important to the Gospel, was published in January 2012. After the publication, there came about stiff opposition and rejection from Christian school teachers who believe in evolution.
Here’s an excerpt from the email we received just a few days ago from the director of CWVO:
I am sorry to report that the reaction to our first article in the newspaper in Gugarat, India created such a strong reaction that the newspaper has decided to stop publishing articles. The primary protestors are Christian school teachers. … All of your hard work has produced outstanding results. We should not be surprised if there is resistance to the truth of the gospel.
We believe that God will open other doors of opportunity similar to this one. Pray for us as we seek to follow God’s leading in this and other areas.

When Was the Ice Age?

Although secular scientists argue that there were multiple Ice Ages over a period of hundreds of thousands of years,1 we know from the Bible, that such a timescale is much too long to be accurate. If the Ice Age(s) did not occur hundreds of thousands of years ago, when did the Ice Age occur? The answer to this question is partially revealed in our discussion in the feature article regarding how the great Flood would provide the necessary meteorological catalysts to spawn an Ice Age shortly after the Flood. Using Biblical genealogical records, basic mathematics, and logical inferences, we can deduce that the Flood occurred sometime around 2,500 B.C.2 So, we can infer that the Ice Age took place sometime following the Flood. One meteorologist estimates that the Ice Age lasted around 700 years, and peaked approximately 500 years after the Flood, or around 2,000 B.C.3

The Tool Box – January/February 2012

It’s that time again! The January / February 2012 edition of The Tool Box is now available. We pray that, as you read the articles in this latest edition of The Tool Box, you will built up in your faith in the Word of our awesome Creator, and that you will be excited to share the truth of the Word with those around you!
Having entered into another year, we are reminded again that time passes quickly, and that we must make each moment count for eternity. As Ephesians 5:16 says, we need to be “redeeming the time, because the days are evil.“ Our day and age is definitely full of evil, and yet we know that we must be shining lights in the darkness. We pray that the LORD has been at work in your lives already in this new year, and we ask that He would be use each of you in a powerful way to advance His Kingdom on earth in 2012.
Your continued prayer support as we continue work in this important area of Christian ministry is much needed, and greatly appreciated. We also appreciate hearing from you, our readers!
